The Three Shrines of Utatsuyama are Atago Shrine, Utatsuyama Tenmangu and Toyokuni Shrine. Utatsuyama Tenmangu was moved from Takezawa Palace in Kenrokuen Garden by the 14th lord Yoshiyasu. Toyokuni Shrine used to be called Utatsu Kannon. It was renamed and Hideyoshi became the main god when the Order of Separation of Buddhism and Shintoism was issued in the Meiji Period. Atago Shrine was included later.
