Jokenzan Soto school Ikkan-in Temple

This is a famous Soto school temple relocated in 1872 (Meiji 5) to the current place. Originally it was established by the 5th generation of Hoenji Temple, Taizan in Tsurugi village in 1631 (Kanei 8). The priest, the 3rd child of Asakura Yoshikage, a daimyo in the Warring State period, served at Hoenji Temple and performed great services by making Sojiji Temple part of the main temple, and staying at Ikkan-in Temple for a year before his death.
