Unshozan Soto school Kakurinji Temple

The first priest of this temple was Daichi, a disciple of Meiho, the 3rd priest of Daijoji Temple. Between 1336~1339 (Engen Period), he established Gidaji Temple in Yoshinodani Village in Ishikawa Gun. Later it was reestablished in Moriyama, Etchu (current Toyama Prefecture). Then it was relocated in Yasaka Kanazawa and was renamed Kakurinji Temple. It became Lord Maeda’s prayer temple at the time of Dangen, the 14th priest of the temple.
