Currently this building is used as a museum of social culture, however, it was originally built in 1907 as the Kanazawa Chochiku Savings Bank. While the Japanese-style exterior has a massive tiled roof and black-walled Kura (storehouse) structure, the interior is designed and arranged as a western-style bank. Visitors can enjoy an element of surprise.
Weekdays and from Dec. 29 to Jan. 3, but only closed on Tuesdays from Apr. 1 to the Golden Week holidays, from Jul. 21 to Aug. 31, and from Oct. 1 to Nov. 3, in principle.
